Shakira Biography

Shakira's full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak 
Ripoll . Her birth date is  February 2, 1977 and
 birth place is  Barranquilla ,a city of Colombia  .Though Shakira  is native Spanish speaker,she has good command over speaking in English,Portuguese,  Italian, French, Catalan and Arabic.She is singer,songwriter, dancer,
record producer,choreographer and model.
She is also expert at Belly Dancing  from  childhood.

                     

Her song represents Latin and Arabic heritage.Though it's unbelievable that she wrote her first song at the age of 8. She released her first studio album named  MEGIA(english: MAGIC)  when her age was only 13.This album won Viña del Mar International Song Festival . But she could not attend on this award ceremony,due to her underage. Then she released her second album named PELIGRO(english:danger) .  Due to failure of achievement commercial success ,these two albums were removed from music market.These albums officially marked as a promotional album not official album. she showed her talent after finishing her school graduation by releasing her third album named  Pies Descalzos(English: Bare Feet) (1996).  It brought to her breakthrough record by which she got famous throughout Latin America .Her follow-up her music album is Dónde están los ladrones? (English: Where Are the Thieves?)(1998)
 these two album's song achieved Latin Grammy Award  for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.
To show potentiality into English language top market ,encouraged by American singer Gloria Estefan  Shakira released  her fifth album named Laundry Service.    Big hit songs " Whenever,Wherever  " and " Underneath Your Clothes " are included these
album.
Then she released her following album " Hips Don't Lie " ," She Wolf ",
" Sale el Sol (English: The Sun Comes Out) ".
Her official song for 2010 FIFA World Cup " Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" peaked one of the best World Cup songs of all time.
Shakira was a judge of The Voice  which is reality show of  American  television singing competition.
